Making a difference

Every month we give
10% of our profits to a different charities

Our chosen charity for December and January is…

Since March 2020, we have all been in survival mode. One of the most comforting and uniting art forms, for many of us, has been television. As theatres across the country have closed, film sets have shut down and TV sets have scaled back, many actors and their artistic colleagues have faced unemployment and financial struggle on a whole new scale. A tricky profession at the best of times, the acting community has always known great hardship, whilst we enjoy the fruits of their labours.

As a tribute to the many actors and acting-related professionals who have given us joy and have gone without so many times, this month, here at Hope Law, we are hoping to Make A Difference in the acting community by supporting The Actors Benevolent Fund.

For over 135 years, Actors’ Benevolent Fund has supported actors and stage managers experiencing hardship due to injury, illness, or old age. Now they run two programmes, the first supporting those actors fitting into the categories above, the second programme supporting those affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
